Assuming we're a good match for therapy, I can generally get people on my schedule within a week.
I provide telehealth therapy for adults navigating the symptoms of trauma, anxiety, depression, phobias, and/or major life transitions. My goal is to provide a safe, supportive space where you can process difficult experiences and build the practical skills needed to move forward.
Yes. I’m in-network with Premera, Regence, and Aetna. I also offer private pay sessions at $180. If you use out-of-network benefits, I can provide a superbill for you to submit to your insurance company.
In-person and telehealth therapies both demonstrate the same effectiveness in studies, and have different advantages depending on the needs of the client.
Once we talk and you're on my schedule, you will receive an email with a link to some forms you'll need to fill out prior to your first session. You will also be emailed a link that you can use to join your therapy session at the time of your scheduled appointment.
In your first session, we’ll slow things down and get to know what brings you in. We’ll talk about your history, current symptoms, and how they’re affecting your life. We’ll also review your goals and start building a plan that feels manageable for you.
Reach out to set up your free phone consultation first either click the link to schedule it yourself or send me an email at doria@stellarcounseling.net . The phone consultation gives you a chance to see whether we’re a good fit. If you decide to move forward, we’ll talk through next steps and get your first appointment on the calendar.
Yes. I offer virtual therapy, so you can meet with me from a private, comfortable space that works for you. Telehealth can be a good fit if you want support without the added stress of travel.
EMDR stands for Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing. It’s a trauma-focused therapy that helps you process painful memories in a way that feels less overwhelming. During sessions, we use guided bilateral stimulation, like eye movements or tapping, while you focus on what feels stuck, so your nervous system can begin to settle.
Trauma therapy is a specialized approach to help individuals process and heal from traumatic experiences. At Stellar Counseling, I use techniques like EMDR and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy to support your journey toward healing and empowerment.
